Understanding Participation Analytics in Quizzes & Surveys

Purpose

Participation analytics in HRStop’s Engagement module allows Admins and HR teams to track employee involvement, identify gaps in engagement, and measure the effectiveness of quizzes and surveys. These insights are essential to adjust communication strategies, incentives, and content.


Accessing Analytics

To access:

  • Go to Control Panel -> Engagement → Surveys  or Control Panel -> Engagement → Quiz.
  • Click on a specific Survey or Quiz title
  • Navigate to the Analytics, Participation, or Responses tabs

Survey Participation Analytics

1. Overall Participation

  • Total Participants Targeted
  • Number of Responses Received
  • % Completion Rate

2. Department-wise Participation

  • Breaks down response rates by department
  • Highlights departments with low/high engagement

3. Designation, Location, BU Filters

  • Allows drilling down into specific groups
  • Useful for identifying segments that need follow-up or support

4. Question-wise Drop-off

  • Shows where users are dropping off before completion
  • Indicates if certain questions are confusing or too long

5. Individual Responses (if not anonymous)

  • Tracks how each employee answered each question
  • Great for performance reviews, training impact checks, or compliance surveys

Quiz Participation Analytics

1. Quiz Attempts Overview

  • Number of employees who started vs. completed the quiz
  • Average quiz score
  • Distribution of scores

2. Participation by Segment

  • View stats by:
    • Department
    • Location
    • Business Unit
    • Designation

3. Employee Performance

  • Filterable by employee name
  • Includes:
    • Time taken to complete quiz
    • Score
    • Correct vs. incorrect questions

4. Exportable Reports

  • Export CSV or Excel versions of:
    • Score summaries
    • Participant list with status (Attempted/Not Attempted)
    • Individual question analytics
